The second edition of the Congress was again held in the premises of the ABC Bonsai Club in Castelfranco , always thanks to their availability.

The AIAS Trophy remained also for the 1999 in the hands of Mr. Andrea Schenone, thanks to an abstract stone "Two-faced Janus".
