“For the future we should let follow demonstrative live workshops to talks”.
I had written these words during the report of the last edition , when , together with other old members "we tried invain to explain" the suiseki, the daiza and many whys and wherefores of this wonderful and involving art to the common public listening us.

No sooner said than done, thanks to technological supportssuch as computer and projectors, I could prepare a dia presentation "making a present" to the careful audience , tips, malices and secrets which only experience can give . It has been possible to explain and to follow step by step , which category , what position to adopt, what daiza to make, which finishing and which final display: this experience has fully satisfied me and the same I think for the attending public.

When I have arrived, on Friday evening March 11th and I entered in the Fair Pavillon put at our disposal , on seeing the vastness of the environnements (3.000 sq.mts) I was wondering : how will we fill up all provided spaces ?

Mrs. Laura Redini (organizer as President of the Gonzaga Bonsai Club) had organized at better giving out the various tables both to AIAS members , and to participating Bonsai Clubs, reserving spaces both to vendors, to the workshops and very important to the relief : we were widely more than 100 people with legs under the tables both on Saturday and Sunday ( for your info 30 were the Clubs/Association, 9 the attending vendors).

I cannot help reminding in addition to Mrs. Laura Redini , Frank, Chiara, Martino, Ettore , all other members of the Gonzaga Club , of whom I do not remember the names, thanking in my name and of all AIAS , for the great welcome received.
Finally a thank you to the A.I.A.S. member Mr. Roberto Rampazzo , who on Sunday early in the morning , has helped me to take photos of the whole exhibit of AIAS stones and not only.
It will be hard to improve and overcome this edition of Gonzaga Bonsai World..... but this is another story. |
